Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Customers in Nanticoke

SCRANTON, Pa. (March 21, 2025) – Pennsylvania American Water announced this morning that the boil water advisory for customers in Nanticoke has been lifted. Customers were notified on March 18 of a main break that affect a storage tank, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.

This notice applies to a customer population of approximately 75 along the following streets Nanticoke:

  • Vista Drive
  • Overlook Road
  • Industrial Park Road

Acceptable test results were obtained from samples collected on March 19 and 20, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.

Pennsylvania American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with others in the affected areas listed above.
