Kentucky American Water Now Accepting Applications for 2025 Firefighting Support Grants
Program has provided nearly $110,000 in grants since 2011

LEXINGTON, Ky., (July 31, 2025) – To show its continued commitment to community fire departments, Kentucky American Water announced today it is accepting applications for its 14th annual Firefighting Support Grant Program.

"Kentucky American Water is proud to support the brave firefighters who are on the frontlines every day, protecting our communities,” said Rob Burton, president of Kentucky American Water. “Our Firefighting Support Grant Program is a testament to our commitment to their vital work, aiding them in attaining the critical resources and training they need to continue their life-saving efforts."

Since 2011, Kentucky American Water’s Firefighting Support Grant Program has awarded $108,000 in grant funds to professional and volunteer fire departments in the company’s 14-county service area.

Firefighting organizations in the company’s 14-county service area (Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Jackson, Jessamine, Nicholas, Owen, Rockcastle, Scott and Woodford counties) are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is September 5, 2025.
