SCRANTON, Pa. (July 22, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water announced that the boil water advisory for customers in part of Scranton has been lifted. Customers were notified on July 19, 2026, of the loss of positive water pressure due to a water main break, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.

This notice applies to customers along the following streets in Scranton:

• 100-400 blocks of Mifflin Avenue
• 100-400 blocks of Franklin Avenue
• 100-500 blocks of Penn Avenue
• 500-700 blocks of Capouse Avenue
• 100-900 blocks of Wyoming Avenue
• 100-900 blocks of North Washington Avenue
• 100-900 blocks of Adams Aveue
• 100-900 blocks of Jefferson Avenue
• 100-900 blocks of Madison Avenue
• 100-900 blocks of Monroe Avenue
• 300-800 blocks of Gibson Avenue
• 400-800 blocks of Pine Street
• 100-800 blocks of Olive Street
• 200-800 blocks of Vine Street
