Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Customers in Part of Scranton
SCRANTON, Pa. (July 29, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water announced that the boil water advisory for customers in part of Scranton has been lifted. Customers were notified on July 27, 2026, of the loss of positive water pressure due to a water main break, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.
This notice applies to customers along the following streets in Scranton:

Samples were collected on June 28, 2026, and June 29, 2026, with acceptable test results received on June 29, 2026. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.
