BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Customers in Part of Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. (July 29, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water announced that the boil water advisory for customers in part of Scranton has been lifted. Customers were notified on July 27, 2026, of the loss of positive water pressure due to a water main break, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.

This notice applies to customers along the following streets in Scranton:

  • 100-400 blocks of Mifflin Avenue
  • 100-400 blocks of Franklin Avenue
  • 100-500 blocks of Penn Avenue
  • 500-700 blocks of Capouse Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of Wyoming Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of North Washington Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of Adams Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of Jefferson Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of Madison Avenue
  • 100-900 blocks of Monroe Avenue
  • 300-800 blocks of Gibson Avenue
  • 400-800 blocks of Pine Street
  • 100-800 blocks of Olive Street
  • 200-800 blocks of Vine Street
  • 100-800 blocks of Mulberry Street
  • 100-800 blocks of Linden Street
  • 100-600 blocks of Biden Street
  • 100-600 blocks of Lackawanna Avenue
  • 100-500 blocks of Center Street
  • 500 block of Gordon Avenue
  • 100 block of Anthony Street
  • Unit block of Silex Street
  • 600-700 blocks of Mineral Avenue
  • 600 block of Barrett Court
  • 300-500 blocks of New Street
  • 100-700 blocks of Forest Court

​Samples were collected on June 28, 2026, and June 29, 2026, with acceptable test results received on June 29, 2026. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.
