New wastewater customers invited to meet with company representatives to learn more about their service
MCMURRAY, Pa. (Sept. 17, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water will host a customer information event for customers in its recently acquired Sutersville-Sewickley wastewater system. Company representatives will be available to answer questions about wastewater service, billing, customer assistance programs and the company's planned investments in the system.
The event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at the Sutersville Municipal Center (320 Municipal Avenue, Sutersville). No advance registration is necessary, and customers are welcome to stop by at any time during the event.
Pennsylvania American Water completed its acquisition of the Sutersville-Sewickley Municipal Sewage Authority wastewater system on August 13, 2026. The system serves approximately 500 customer connections in Sutersville Borough and Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County. As part of the acquisition, the company plans to invest approximately $700,000 in system improvements over the next five years to help enhance the quality and reliability of wastewater service.
Pennsylvania American Water also offers several customer assistance programs, including its H2O Help to Others Program™, which provides eligible customers with grants, monthly bill discounts, debt forgiveness and water-saving devices and education. Customers can learn more about available assistance programs by speaking with company representatives during the event or by visiting pennsylvaniaamwater.com/H2O.
Customers interested in enrolling in the yH2O Help to Others program are asked to bring an internet-read device, a current utility bill, Social Security numbers and birthdates for all household members and proof of household income. Proof of income may include wages or self-employment, Social Security or disability benefits, retirement or unemployment income, child or spousal support, veterans or workers’ compensation benefits, public assistance, rental or investment income, other income or documentation of zero income.
