FERGUSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Sept. 18, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water announced that the boil water advisory for Rock Spring Water Company customers in Ferguson Township has been lifted. Customers were notified on September 15, of a loss of positive water pressure, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.
This notice applies to approximately 480 customer connections throughout the Rock Spring Water Company water system in Ferguson Township, Centre County.
Acceptable test results were obtained from samples collected on September 16 and 17, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.
Pennsylvania American Water thanks the Rock Spring Water Company customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with others in the affected areas listed above.
Rock Spring Water Company is a privately owned, regulated water company. Pennsylvania American Water has taken over all system operations under a Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission order dated March 20, 2025
