Pennsylvania American Water Announces Tank Improvement Project to Enhance Water Service Reliability in Lewisburg

The nearly $1 million project will help protect water quality, support fire protection, and enhance system resiliency for local customers.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water has begun a $975,000 infrastructure improvement project to replace the roof of its 1-million-gallon College Park water storage tank, helping to strengthen a critical component of the Milton water system that serves customers throughout the Lewisburg area.

“Projects like this are essential to delivering the reliable water service our customers expect,” said Jeremy Resseguie, operations manager for Pennsylvania American Water. “Replacing the tank roof will help protect water quality, support fire protection and strengthen the resilience of the local water system for years to come.”

Pennsylvania American Water operates two water storage tanks at this site. To help ensure uninterrupted service during construction, the second tank will remain in operation throughout the project, and no impacts to customers' water service are expected.

Work on the tank roof replacement recently began and is expected to primarily take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will take approximately three to four months to complete. Occasional weekend and night work may be necessary to keep the project on schedule.

The project includes replacing the existing tank roof, which was previously repaired following storm damage. The new roof will help enhance system resiliency, protect water quality, and support reliable service for customers for years to come.
