According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a typical family of four uses 400 gallons of water every day yet less than 1% of the water on Earth is fresh water. That’s why it’s so important that we use water wisely and not waste it.

During Water Awareness Month, American Water is delighted to share tips on how to reduce and conserve water usage inside and outside your home:

You can save up to 8 gallons of water by turning off the tap while brushing your teeth. That adds up to more than 200 gallons a month!
