Press Releases
SHIPPPENVILLE, Pa. (May 20, 2026) – Pennsylvania American Water announced that approximately 400 customers in the Shippenville area will experience a temporary water service interruption beginning at 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. Service is expected to be restored by midnight, though work could extend until 6 a.m. Friday to ensure completion.
The planned outage will allow crews to complete work supporting a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project at 9076 State Route 322, where a culvert is being replaced with a new bridge. This upgrade will help strengthen the water system and support more reliable service for customers in the area.
Customers are encouraged to plan ahead by storing water in advance for essential needs during the outage. Pennsylvania American Water crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore service.
