GREENWOOD, Ind. – June 22, 2026 – Indiana American Water, a subsidiary of American Water (NYSE: AWK), announced today it will host a community open house to welcome new customers in Northwest Indiana following the company’s recent acquisition of Community Utilities of Indiana’s water and wastewater systems.
The open house will provide customers in Merrillville, Roselawn, and Lakes of the Four Seasons an opportunity to meet Indiana American Water team members, learn about available services, and ask questions about their water and wastewater service.

Indiana American Water recently completed its acquisition of Community Utilities of Indiana systems, adding approximately 8,200 customer connections and expanding service to communities across Northwest Indiana. The company also welcomed local employees to its operations to maintain continuity and support customers during the transition.
At the open house, attendees will learn more about Indiana American Water’s customer programs and resources, including its online account management portal, MyWater, flexible payment options, and customer assistance programs for qualifying customers.
