Stay hydrated during back-to-school season

Back-to-school means new routines and busy schedules. Staying hydrated during this busy season can help you think and feel your best. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drinking water every day helps prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, mood change, overheating and more.
Start the school year off right by committing to healthy hydration with these tips:
- Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning to help rehydrate after sleep and jumpstart your day.
- Add an easy-to-clean and carry reusable water bottle to your back-to-school shopping list.
- Skip the sugary drinks and pack water for snack and lunch breaks instead.
- Temperatures may start to drop, so staying hydrated during fall activities may not always be top of mind. Be mindful of your water intake and take frequent water breaks.
- Add lemon or lime to give flavor to your water without the extra calories.
